About

Hello my name is MiSTER Aaron W. Cokley. I’m a graduate of Clemson University 2012 and went through the “Call Me MISTER program,” designed to get more men teaching in schools. From there, I have had the incredible opportunity to travel to Italy, teaching American Sign Language and Italian Sign Language. I have worked with Camp Read-a-Rama as a Camp Counselor and Assistant Director, "Read-a-Rama is a non-profit that uses books for children and young adults as the springboard for all program activities. We provide fully-engaged programming year-round that seeks to improve literacy, particularly for children most in need of literacy intervention." I’m currently finishing my M.A. in school counseling from Capella University and serve as an Inclusion Specialist/Elementary Educator(Mableton, GA). Working to implement social & emotional learning (SEL) and  provide on-site behavioral health consultation and support to 5-10 high-needs schools to address barriers that interfere with students academic, social and emotional development. One fun fact is that MiSTER Aaron W. Cokley is fully immersed in the music & entertainment scene and is super excited to be working with you this year! Strengths: Designed and taught technology based parent workshops to increase student achievement. Collaborated with educators/stakeholders in grades K-12 to create project based learning tied to Common Core Curriculum. Facilitated virtual field trips k-4 Assisted in creating District Technology Plan. Served as the building-wide Compass Learning administrator responsible for setting up student and parent accounts, individual classrooms, and running administrative reports. Served as the proctor for NWEA Assessments grades k-8, responsible for running student growth reports. Love, Community Outreach, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), Music Production, Institute of Multi-Sensory Education-Orton Gillingham Remediation( K-12), Advocate for All Kids
